My experience with Chiropractic began after spending a full year of unsuccessful visits to specialists for TMJ dysfunction of the jaw. I was referred to a chiropractor and decided to give it a try. After just three visits of working on my jaw and adjusting my spine, I noticed a dramatic difference. The headaches that I would suffer with a few times a week were gone completely and I could finally eat without pain! Even though my pain symptoms were eliminated, I knew that Chiropractic was something special and my body was benefiting greatly from it.
At that time, I was an Exercise Physiology major at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. After talking with my chiropractor about how to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, my plans for graduate school changed and I’ve never looked back! Pursuing Chiropractic was the obvious option for me – It had helped me live a pain-free life and opened my eyes to holistic health. I knew that helping others in that same way was my calling.
Throughout my education and personal experiences, I have become aware and appreciative of the power our own bodies have to heal and how Chiropractic care assists the body to express optimal health.
